Hunter Holt-Barry, Managing Editor
Hunter Holt-Barry is in his fourth and final year as an Honours student, majoring in Political Science with a minor in Indigenous Studies. Insights is a passion project for him, which he jokingly refers to as his "going away present" to the department. It's no surprise to those who know him that he is one of the few undergraduates who has attended and presented at political science conferences. In 2024, Hunter was awarded the PURE Award for his extensive review of "Irishness" and settler identity through a decolonial framework. In his spare time, he enjoys playing Gaelic football and hurling, along with his ongoing efforts to learn Gaeilge (the Irish language). His academic research interests include decolonial theory, language revitalization, and Indigenous governance. Hunter is motivated by a vision of a world where diverse ways of knowing are equally valued and protected.
